Indoor Cycling / Spinning Classes
Indoor cycling (or Spinning) is a high intensity cardiovascular workout done on special stationary exercise bikes with a weighted flywheel. It is a zero impact activity and therefore excellent for people with hip or knee issues as it does not place stress on your ligaments and joints. Indoor cycling focuses on endurance, strength, intervals, high intensity, and recovery.
Total Fitness has the Lemond Rev Master PRO stationary bikes, which make the biking experience smoother for the cyclist than the less expensive spinning bikes. With a computer, you know exactly how far you have gone and how fast you got there, as well as the terrain you covered.
We have three levels of membership, based on your usage to choose from: Bronze Level is $50/month for up to 12 classes. Silver Level is $75/month for up to 20 classes. Gold Level is $100/month for unlimited classes. We have over 25 classes weekly to choose from including strength, spin, yoga, fitness, cardio, TRX, and Contact Kickboxing. Of course, there is always the option of $10 drop in / class or save money by getting a 5 or 10-class package.
Two Hour Endurance Rides
At Total Fitness we offer two hour endurance ride classes for people who want to improve their endurance and respiratory systems, and strengthen their muscles, heart, and fitness level. Most cycling classes are 45 to 60 minutes long. So to through in a two hour cycling class will boost your fitness level and endurance in a new way. When you cycle with a group of fun people, it’s much easier to get through two hours of intense exercise.
We also offer Triple Threat classes at Total Fitness. Our Triple Threat classes involve cycling, strength training, and stretching/yoga. Participants do 30 minutes of cycling, 30 minutes of strength training, another 30 minutes of cycling, and 30 minutes of yoga. This class is designed to work the entire body, strengthening it, improving cardiorespiratory, flexibility, strength, and core. Not only will you improve your entire body in our Triple Threat classes, but you will make friends and have fun in the process.
